Today's bomb: — taps, — fuse. Wrong keys burn 0.5s.
—% of players blew up today
Every day there is one bomb, the same bomb for everyone, and you get one attempt to defuse it. Keys on the pad light up one at a time. A green key means tap that key. A blue key means tap the key one higher, so a blue 6 means tap 7. A red key means tap the key three higher, so a red 5 means tap 8. Anything past 9 wraps around to 0, which means a red 8 wants a 1 and a blue 9 wants a 0.
The fuse starts burning the moment you hit Defuse. Wrong keys cost half a second, and you stay on the same step until you hit the right key, so mashing the pad only gets you killed faster. If the fuse runs out before you finish, you explode wherever you are. The fuse is sized to each day's bomb and tuned so that roughly half of each day's players don't make it. Some days the bomb is six taps and over in seconds; some days it's a twenty-eight tap monster. You find out when you get there.
When it's over, you get a result grid you can share. Green squares are clean taps, orange squares are steps you fumbled, the explosion marks where you died, and black squares are the taps you never lived to see. Your streak and survival rate are tracked on this device. A new bomb arrives at midnight.
Don't Blow Up is a free daily reaction game, one per day, no account, no app. It was built by one person for the fun of it. If it made you panic in a good way, send it to somebody who deserves it.
